Pretty
confident, are you? Feeling good during your tournament round? Then try
another test of your nerve and skill: the Par 3 Challenge.
Here’s how you
take on the Challenge. On all par 3 holes, you’ll try to put your tee
shot within two lengths of the flagstick—about 14 to 16 feet—from the
hole. For every ball you can place within that radius, you earn $20. You
can try up to three shots on each par 3 hole, and each shot costs $10.
You decide how many par 3 holes you will play and how many shots you’ll
take.
After all players
have hit their shots, the forecaddie uses the flagstick to measure distance
from the hole and determine which balls are within range. For accounting,
reporting, and security purposes the forecaddie keeps track of the shots;
he also collects the fee for each shot. When you win the Par 3 Challenge,
Maui Jackpot Golf will mail you one of our colorful, frameable checks.
The Par 3 Challenge
is not part of the tournament, and there is no handicap adjustment for
it. The first ball you hit on any Par 3 hole is the tournament ball, whether
you take part in the Challenge or not. The Challenge won’t take place
if the forecaddie believes that it will delay players following your group
because course operators require that all golfers maintain a steady rate
of play.
The Par 3 Challenge
is a great way to make the stakes a little higher and the rewards a little
sweeter. Take on the Challenge!
